By Car
By car you can get to Messolongi using your car or public transport (bus).
If you use your car you can reach through Mesolongi highways:
- Ioannina - Antirio (via Arta - Amfilochia or from Preveza Prefecture through the underwater tunnel of Aktion)
- Athens - Patras Antirio (via Rio - Antirio) and from there a short path to Messolongi
- Galaxidi - Antirio as Antirio and from there a short path to Mesolongi

The county Aitoloakarnanias is connected with Ithaca and Kefalonia, where there are regular ferries to Port Lobster. From there you can drive to Messolongi.
